Athlone 21st and 22nd August 2010
Kenmare had a very successful weekend at the recently held Community Games National Finals in Athlone. In the final of the under 10 boys 100m sprint, Donal O'Sullivan ran a fabulous race to come a very close 3rd. The under 10 mixed relay team won both their heats and their semi final, and then finished 4th in the final in what was a very tightly contested race. Laura Hallissey qualified for the under 13 900m walk and was 7th overall in the final. A great achievement for all our athletes. Many thanks to all the parents and supporters who braved the elements on both days and cheered them on.
